PRO DV Software AG, IT specialist for location-orientated and process-optimising business solutions, is arranging cooperation agreements with the Technical Control Board (German abbr. TÜV) Rhineland Industry Services GmbH in Berlin. The cooperation concentrates on technical and sales related support in the development and commercialisation of IT overall-solutions for civil protection and disaster prevention.
As the first-mover in applications and solutions for civil protection and disaster prevention, PRO DV is market leading in this sector, and already created an IT standard with the German Emergency Prevention Information System deNIS IIplus. deNIS IIplus supports comprehensively and practice-orientated crisis committees of companies, the German Federal Government, Federal States, administrative districts, and aid organisations. By now, the system represents the IT basis for civil protection in the Federal Republic of Germany. Due to the basic agreement concluded with the Federal Government, deNIS IIplus is also available for companies, authorities and organisations, who are entrusted with security responsibilities.
TÜV Rhineland is an internationally leading service company. Over 11.000 employees are working at 340 locations, in 60 countries on all continents, producing a turnover of more than 900 million euro per year. The company’s requirement and central idea is the sustainable development of security and quality. The employees of TÜV Rhineland have the firm conviction regarding their work that social and industrial development is not possible without technical progress. Especially therefore, the secure and responsible use of technical innovations, products, and plants is of vital importance. Since 2006, TÜV Rhineland is member of the Global Compact of the United Nations, and presents over 130 years of tradition. The company has its headquarter in Cologne. In Berlin, the business area Industry Services offers a special team of experts for the development and commercialisation of software products (DISMA®) and services for emergency planning and emergency management. This DISMA® team disposes of a long market experience in the field of disaster prevention, plant safety, and danger prevention in national and international companies. With the help of DISMA, over 70 external emergency plans for the implementation of the SEVESO II directive were created, for example on behalf of minor disaster prevention authorities.
Consequently, both contractual partners benefit from the synergetic effect, developing and commercialising corporately products, solutions, and services concerning IT support of internal and external security. Target markets are the governmental (European, federal, state, town, local authorities, and administrative districts) and private (endangered/ critical infrastructures) industry.
Early in July 2007, a corresponding contract will be agreed and concluded, and on a workshop planned for the end of the same month, the technical and sales related activities are going to be specified.
